Biodiesel Energy

Biodiesel energy is the energy obtained from bio-diesel. Biodiesel is a non petroleum based diesel fuel. It is made by the process of transesterification of vegetable oil or animal fat. Biodiesel is used mainly in diesel engine vehicles.

The concept of biodiesel energy has been in use for many years now. Biodiesel energy is made from soya bean oil and yellow grease.

The biodiesel fuel used in biodiesel energy can be used as a fuel or it can be mixed with petroleum to be used as a fuel. When biodiesel fuel is mixed with petroleum, it is given a number which indicates the amount of petroleum mixed with biodiesel. The number B100 indicates that the fuel is purely bio diesel fuel without any mixed ingredient in it. However, when pure biodiesel energy is used in vehicles, it may cause a few performance problems. Problems arise because the engine may be the one that cannot tolerate so much concentration of biodiesel energy.

Biodiesel energy is used for running trains, is a safe and effective fuel to be used in airplanes and can be used for domestic purposes like heating homes which makes the use of electricity low.

Biodiesel energy can be generated anywhere in the world because soya bean can be grown in any part of the world. It is being considered as an alternative energy source to high emission fuels and the costly gas by many countries of the world.
